About Us

Who We Are

At Reflection Church, our mission is simple: Seeking God’s Heart and Reflecting His love. For the Kingdom. For the City. For You. We desire to be a community that passionately loves God and people, reflecting His love in every aspect of our lives.

Our Planters

Michael and Alicia Grigsby have been working toward starting kingdom minded churches since they were married 9 years ago. They have a deep desire to see lives transformed through the good news of Jesus. Most recently the Grigsbys replanted a church in Flagstaff, AZ.

Michael, our lead pastor, has been in ministry for his entire adult life, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for people to know God in deep relationship. As a pastor for more than a decade in various contexts, a Master of Divinity from Gateway Seminary, and a bachelor's degree in Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University, Michael is dedicated to lead Reflection Church for the glory of God.

Alicia has also been in ministry for her entire adult life. She attended Calvary Chapel Bible College, including serving overseas in Italy. She has served at churches in a variety of leadership roles including in worship, youth, and women’s ministry.

What We Believe

The Bible

We believe that the scriptures, comprised of the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible, in its original autographs, is without error in all that it asserts.

God

We believe in one personal God who exists eternally in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The three persons within the Godhead are equal in power, authority, and glory.

Jesus

We believe Jesus Christ to be the virgin-born Son of God who lived in flesh, died for the sins of the world, was buried, rose again bodily, ascended to the Father, and will return in glory.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit who regenerates and indwells every believer in Jesus, assures us of our salvation, guides us into all truth, glorifies Jesus, and convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and empowers us for service.

Humanity

We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became separated from God because of sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

Human Sexuality

We believe that God created humanity in two genders: male and female. The marriage relationship, between one man and one woman, is the only appropriate place for sexual relationships.

Salvation

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way for the forgiveness of sin. God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in Christ. Salvation cannot be earned; it is a gift from God. God’s grace results in the justification of believers before God to become His saints. God’s grace enables believers to take up their cross and follow Jesus.

The Church

We believe in the universal church, the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith in the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to worship God, mature the body, and evangelize the world.

Eternity

We believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to the earth and the establishing of his Kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, and the final judgment. We believe that our eternal destination of either eternal life or eternal punishment is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Core Values

Success is Measured in Faithfulness

Our goal is always faithfulness to God in everything we do. Our success is not going to be measured in how many people attend, how many are baptized, or how much people give—those are incredibly important, but the most important is doing what God has called us to do.

Us For Them

In a time of profound division and distrust, we will continue the mission of Jesus: to seek and save the lost. We seek the good of our city, the good of those with whom we disagree. We are united in loving people.

People Over Programs

Programs, strategies, and methods only serve as tools to the purpose of loving people with the Gospel. We will never prioritize programs over the people those programs are created to serve.

Reflect the Joy of the Kingdom

In all that we do, we strive to reflect the joy of God’s kingdom. The world is not perfect, but we are rooted in the joy of God’s Kingdom. We live emotionally and spiritually healthy lives that overflow into being like Jesus.

Mission of Multiplication

We are committed to the multiplication of God’s work in the world. Our mission goes beyond just establishing Reflection Church; we aspire to be a catalyst for multiplication. Our goal is not merely growth within Reflection Church but to see the Great Commission of Jesus fulfilled everywhere.

The Message through Music

We know that music has a special place in the life of each individual as well as in the corporate life of the church. We will be dedicated to communicating the good news of Jesus through music.
